Your game saves automatically every 30 seconds and when you close the app. No account needed - everything is stored on your device.
I lost my progress. Can I recover it?
Game data is stored locally on your device. If you uninstalled the app or reset your phone, the data cannot be recovered. We recommend not using "Reset Progress" in Settings unless you want a fresh start.
How does the hook work?
Tap DROP to send the hook down into the depths. Steer it to catch zombies on the way, then it hauls everything back up automatically. Sell your catch, buy upgrades (longer rope, more slots, faster winch) and go deeper next run.
What is the Laboratory / DNA?
Instead of selling zombies for cash, you can process them in the Laboratory for DNA points. DNA buys permanent mutations that boost your hook forever. Rarer zombies yield more DNA - it is the long-term progression of the game.
What are the zombie rarities?
Common (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple) and Legendary (gold). Rarer zombies appear in deeper zones and are worth much more. Spawns are deterministic per depth zone - the distribution is fixed and visible, no gambling involved.
How do boss zombies work?
Giant boss zombies appear on set run numbers. Catch one for a massive payout. If you lose a boss, you can retry - keep upgrading your hook power to hold on to the big ones.
Are there any in-app purchases?
No. Zombie Hook is completely free with no in-app purchases. You can watch optional ads for temporary bonuses, but they are never required to progress.
Does the game contain gambling?
No. There are no lootboxes, gacha, random chests, or any gambling mechanics. Zombie spawns are deterministic per depth zone and all rewards are based on your skill and time.
How do I manage ad consent?
In the EEA/UK/Switzerland you can reopen the consent form anytime via Settings > Manage ad consent. On iOS you can also change tracking permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings in the app and tap "Reset Progress". This will delete all your game data. You can also uninstall the app to remove all data. Learn more
The game is in the wrong language. How do I change it?
Go to Settings and tap on the language selector. You can choose from 7 languages: English, Polish, Ukrainian, German, Spanish, Turkish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
